Cryptocoryne Lucens is a less common type of Crypt that can serve as a foreground or midground plant. Its slender leaves are bright green with brown stems. When grown in large groups, it resembles tall thick reeds of grass. Similar to other Crypts, this plant is recommended for beginners as they are easy to care for and have minimal requirements.
When grown in quality substrate such as Marfied Controsoil, this plant has the capability to feed through its roots and grow quickly without the need for high light, CO2 or fertilizer dosing. It can be grown both submerged and emersed. To propagate, simply cut off new plantlets growing from the mother rhizome.
