Anubias barteri var. nana
A smaller varient of the anubais with green leaves. Like other Anubias, this aquatic plant is a great choice for beginners due to its easy care and overall hardiness. Anubias Nana features the classic beautiful green hue that is an Anubias signature and is a great choice for filling up gaps and holes in an aquascape layout and due to its nature, doesn’t require being planted in aquarium soil to grow properly. This also makes Anubias Nana versatile with placement and it is often used as makeshift leaves on aquarium driftwood or as a beautiful green accent in the midground. Anubias Nana requires very little maintenance and can adapt to a wide range of water parameters. It also has the ability to thrive in both aquariums and terrarium-like set ups.
Anubias barteri var. nana is a flowering plant that grows best when the rhizome is attached to hardscape material such as aquarium wood or aquascaping stone. Regular fertilization is favorable and low to medium lighting is sufficient as high lighting will promote the growth of algae on its leaves. CO2 is not required but promotes faster growth and robust leaves.
Propagation is straightforward; simply cut or pull apart rhizomes to be reattached.
