Pogostemon Helferi was discovered in Thailand, close to the border of Burma. Its name ‘Downoi’ means little star in Thailand due to its leaf shape and overall look. Unusual and distinctive, this aquatic plant is compact with curly leaves and has vivid green coloration.
If kept under proper conditions with good lighting and quality substrate, Downoi forms side shoots with small roots that have the capability to turn into a lush foreground carpet.
